Spring 2022 Courses

Spring 2022 Courses

Dear dancers, we are glad to share with you the Spring 2022 Courses schedule going from February to May 2022. As you will see from the course information below, we have implemented hygienic and organizational measures to fit the latest governmental rules. All classes will be held according to CovidCheck 3G rules. In order to give us more flexibility, we will again split the semester in 2 blocks of 6 weeks.

Course schedule

Below you can find the schedule for the block 1 and 2 of Spring 2022 courses.

* As all classes in block 2 of Spring 2022 courses are a continuation from block 1, we unfortunately can’t offer new classes for absolute beginners in Lindy Hop, Solo Jazz or Couple blues for this second block of the Spring 2022 semester. However, you can sign up for Tap dancing for beginner or if you have prior dancing experience and you are not yet enrolled in block 1 of Spring 2022 courses, you can register for the appropriate class for your dancing background. Please mention your dancing background at the time of your registration (see below).

Location

Note that all classes will take place in Altrimenti. The majority of the classes will be held in Salle Rheinsheim, which is the main room where we usually dance in Altrimenti.

Salle Belair is an extra class room for the Tuesday evening Tap dancing and Couple Blues beginner classes that can be found on the first floor of a side building of Altrimenti, and is at 2 minutes walking distance. See instructions below on how to get there:

The entrance towards Salle Belair looks like this from the main street Avenue Marie Therese. The covid check will be done at the room entrance to Salle Belair on the first floor of side building.

Teachers

For Spring 2022 semester, all classes will be taught by our inspirational local teacher team: Freya, Ilias, Anton, Danielle, Davy, Stella, Sofia, Boris, Ieva, Sjouke & Terje!

As a additional treat for our Luxembourg dancing scene, we are happy to welcome the amazing Tadas & Pamela from Vilnius, Lithuania to lead the last 2 weeks of the spring 2022 courses!

Course Fees

Course fee per class: 75€ per person.

Course fees listed are for 6 weeks of classes. Unfortunately it is not possible to purchase single classes and we don’t offer trial classes. We recommend to attend a beginner taster usually offered before Monday’s social dance to try out Swing dancing.

Registration

Note that if you register for a couple class, both leader and follower need to do an individual registration mentioning each other as partner. It is possible to register without a dancing partner. We recommend single followers to register as soon as the registration opens, to have the most chance that we can get you a spot on the course!

If you would like to continue your courses after completion of block 1 of Spring 2022 weekly courses, we kindly ask you to register for your respective class.

* As all classes in block 2 of Spring 2022 courses are a continuation from block 1, we unfortunately can’t offer new classes for absolute beginners in Lindy Hop, Solo Jazz or Couple blues for this second block of the Spring 2022 semester. HYGIENIC AND ORGANIZATIONAL MEASURES RELATED TO COVID-19 – UPDATE 11TH OF FEBRUARY 2022

We aim to offer you the possibility to do couple dancing with an option for dancing without masks and distancing restrictions. All courses and parties during the Blues workshop will be held according to the CovidCheck 3G regulation applicable in Luxembourg since 11 February 2022 for sport activities in a group of more than 10 people. To find the latest info on Covid-19 measures from the local government, please check here. Below measures are based on governmental information:

The CovidCheck system is a system where admission is reserved exclusively for people who have been vaccinated, recovered or tested. This can be either a vaccination certificate issued within the last 270 days, or a vaccination certificate of a booster dose (unlimited validity), or a recovery certificate for a period of 180 days, or a valid certified test result

  • To enter each individual course you will need to present a valid CovidCheck 3G certificate. The CovidCheck application of the Luxembourg government will be used to check the validity of your QR-code. We recommend to take the paper proof of your Covid passport in case the digital scan doesn’t work at that time.
  • You will need to come at least 15 minutes in advance of your class in order for us to have time to check you in. It will not be possible to enter the class without having been checked-in.
  • You will need to wear a mask after entering Altrimenti until the point where you have been checked in. After check-in, it is up to your individual choice to wear a mask or not.
  • Students are required to wash their hands before and after class. Washing your hands with soap and water is recommended over the use of hand sanitizer.
  • We recommend all students to bring their own water bottle to class. Sharing a bottle is not recommended.
  • It will be possible to change partner during class, however changing partner is not an obligation and it is up to your individual choice to remain with your fixed partner.
  • In case you feel ill or are coughing, we kindly ask you to be responsible, do a self test and not join the event.
  • Above measures are in the interest of our students, teachers and public health. Failure to comply with these measures will result in expulsion from classes. Thanks in advance for your understanding and we look forward to see you at the Blues workshop!

THE ABOVE MEASURES COULD BE SUBJECT TO FURTHER UPDATES ACCORDING TO GOVERNMENT RULES.
