Terms & Conditions and Privacy policy for Spring 2022 Courses
- Purview
These Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy are between participants of the Spring 2022 Courses and Swing Dance Luxembourg association (organizer of the courses). By participating to the courses and entering the course location, you agree to these terms.
- Registration
The registration for the courses is completed through our registration system: https://www.swingdance.lu/spring-2022-courses. By filling out and submitting this registration, the registering person is confirming their intent to participate in the Spring 2022 courses. Submitting the registration form on the website does not guarantee participation to the courses. The number of available spots for each class is limited and is determined by the organizers. In case all the spots in any given class have been filled, registrants may be put on a waiting list or their registration might not be able to be accepted. Swing Dance Luxembourg reserves the right to redirect the registering person to another class, in case the dance requirements for their registering class are not met. After the organizers can confirm the participants’ registration, the participant will receive an email confirming his/her registration together with payment information. The course fee is to be paid within 1 week after the confirmation email is received. You will receive an email for each confirmed class. If within 1 week after receiving the confirmation email the registrant hasn’t proceeded with payment, his or her registration may be cancelled. It is not possible to have a trial class in the semester courses. Class participation is determined on a basis of confirmed registrations, that have been paid fully before start of classes.
- Cancellation Fee, Cancellation of Contract
In case of inability to attend Spring 2022 courses, participants can transfer their booking to any other person of their choice of the same role (leader/follower) and level, as long as the organizers are informed about the transfer at least one week before the beginning of the courses. In case of cancellation (after we have received your payment) communicated to the organizers before the 20st of January 2022, 75% of the participant fee will be refunded. In case of cancellation after the 20st of January 2022, no refund is possible. Business obligations, work- or business travels, illness, vacation or the lack of childcare cannot be accepted as a reason for refunding the fee after the 20th of January 2022. It is not possible to keep your confirmed course as credit for a later semester or to substitute missed classes with any other classes that you are not registered for.
* In case classes have to be cancelled due to government mandated measures related to Covid-19, all outstanding classes will be kept as credit and the remaining classes will be planned on a later date if possible. In case classes cannot be rescheduled, the outstanding credit will be refunded to the students by the organizers.
- Responsibility for Injuries and Personal Belongings
Swing Dance Luxembourg does not take responsibility for accidents or losses, thefts or harm that might occur to participants at spring 2022 courses for whatever reason. Damage claims against the organizers are not possible. The participants are liable for damages to rooms, objects and to third parties caused by themselves.
- Behavior in the Venue
Smoking is not allowed in the venue. We ask you to wear dancing shoes or shoes with clean soles in the classrooms. Individuals who disturb the classes can be dismissed by the organizers.
- Safe Environment
We believe in creating an environment where people in the swing dance community can learn, dance, grow and feel safe. Discrimination or harassment on the basis of sex, gender, national origin, ethnicity, religion, race, sexual orientation or disability will not be tolerated. The participants and organizers promise to work together to keep dance spaces and venues safe and welcoming for all people. Swing Dance Luxembourg reserves the right to refuse access to courses in case these rules are not respected.
* Students should follow Covid-19 related hygienic recommendations set forward by the teachers / organizers as part of respect towards other students and in the interest of public health. Failure to comply with these recommendations can result in expulsion from classes. No reimbursements will be given in case of expulsion.
- Privacy policy
By filling out and submitting their registration, the registrant agrees to the processing of his/her personal data (Name, Surname and Email) by the Swing Dance Luxembourg organizers as necessary for the completion of the registration process. We only collect personal information that is necessary to meet our association’s needs and to provide you with the services you have requested. All courses are held in public spaces. Photographs and videos may be taken at these occasions and we may publish such photographs or videos without additional express consent of the participants. Swing Dance Luxembourg will not use such photographs or videos for purposes other than documenting or promoting the activities of the club. Should you have any questions or concerns regarding your image being taken, please contact us in advance.
