Terms & Conditions and Privacy policy for Lux Stompin Jazz Weekend
§ 1. Purview
These Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy are between participants of the Lux Stompin Jazz Weekend and Swing Dance Luxembourg association (organizer of the festival). By participating in the festival and entering the festival location you agree to these terms.
§ 2. Registration
The registration for the courses and parties of the festival is completed through a registration system on the homepage: https://www.swingdance.lu/lux-stompin-Jazz/. By filling out and submitting this registration, the registering person is confirming his/her intent to participate in Lux Stompin Jazz workshop.
Submitting the registration form on the website does not guarantee participation to the workshop courses. The number of available spots for each course is limited and it is determined by the organizers. In case all the spots in any given group have been filled, registrants may be put on a waiting list or their registration might not be able to be accepted.
After the organizers can confirm the participants’ registration, the participant will receive an email confirming his/her registration together with payment information. The event fee is to be paid within 1 week after the confirmation email is received. If within 1 week after receiving the confirmation email the registrant hasn’t proceeded with payment, his/her registration may be cancelled.
§ 3. Cancellation Fee, Cancellation of Contract
In case of inability to attend Lux Stompin Jazz 2020, participants can transfer their booking to any other person of their choice of the same dancing level, as long as the organizers are informed about the transfer at least one week before the beginning of the event.
In case of cancellation communicated to the organizers before 9th of March 2020, 75% of the participant fee will be refunded. In case of cancellation after 9th of March 2020, no refund is possible. Business obligations, work- or business travels, illness, vacation or the lack of childcare cannot be accepted as a reason for refunding the fee after the the 9th of March 2020.
§ 4. Adjustment of Program
The Lux Stompin Jazz organizers and/or the venue reserves the right to make alterations to the published program (bands and venues) where reasonably necessary. The Lux Stompin Jazz organizers do not take responsibility for any cancellation of the instructors or the band members due to illness or any other reason. We suggest to regularly check our website and Facebook events page in order to be aware of potential updates.
§ 5. Responsibility for Injuries and Personal Belongings
The Lux Stompin Jazz organizers take no responsibility for any accidents or losses, thefts or harm that might occur to participants for whatever reason. No damage claims against the organizers are possible. The participants are liable for any damages to rooms, objects and to third parties caused by themselves.
§ 6. Behavior in the Venue
Smoking is not allowed in the venue. We ask you to wear dancing shoes or shoes with clean soles in the classrooms. Individuals who disturb the classes can be dismissed by the organizers.
§ 7. Safe Environment
We believe in creating an environment where people in the swing dance community can learn, dance, grow and feel safe. Discrimination or harassment on the basis of sex, gender, national origin, ethnicity, religion, race, sexual orientation or disability will not be tolerated. The participants and organizers promise to work together to keep dance spaces and venues safe and welcoming for all people.
§ 8. Privacy policy
By filling out and submitting their registration, the registrant agrees to the processing of his/her personal data (Name, Surname, Email) by the Lux Stompin Jazz organizers as necessary for the completion of the registration process. We only collect personal information that is necessary to meet our business needs and to provide you with the services you have requested.
All workshops and social events are held in public spaces. Photographs and videos may be taken at these occasions and we may publish such photographs or videos without additional explicit consent of the participants. Swing Dance Luxembourg will not use such photographs or videos for purposes other than documenting or promoting the activities of the festival. Should you have any questions or concerns regarding your image being taken at one of our events, please contact us in advance.
